CPA PC

Text Messaging Terms of Service

CPA PC (Victor Schmitz CPA, PC). Effective October 12, 2026. See also our Privacy Policy.

Program description

CPA PC, the business name of Victor Schmitz CPA, PC (Burke, South Dakota), uses text messaging to communicate with its clients about appointment reminders and confirmations, requests for documents or information, and replies to questions you send us. These are one-to-one conversational customer care messages, not marketing or promotional messages. Affiliate marketing is not part of this program, and we do not collect or sell consumer information for leads.

How you opt in

Clients give explicit consent to receive text messages from CPA PC in one of three ways. (1) Website: on our contact form at https://cpapc.net/contact, the client enters their phone number and checks an optional, unchecked-by-default checkbox that states what messages they will receive, that message and data rates may apply, that message frequency varies, and how to reply HELP or STOP, with links to our Privacy Policy and Terms. (2) In writing: our client paperwork includes an optional text message consent checkbox, which the client checks and signs along with providing their mobile number. (3) Verbally: office staff ask the client, by phone or in person, for permission to send text messages, using a short script that states the program, message frequency, message and data rates, and how to reply STOP or HELP, and the office records the date. Consent to text messages is optional and is not a condition of receiving our services. CPA PC does not send text messages to anyone who has not given consent.

You can read and print our text message consent form.

After you opt in, you receive this confirmation: "CPA PC: Thank you for opting in to text messages about appointments and document requests. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out."

Message and data rates

Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your conversation with the office.

How to opt out

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you opt out, you will receive a confirmation message and we will stop sending text messages to your number. Reply START to begin receiving messages again.

How to get help

If you need assistance or have questions about our text messaging, reply HELP to any message, or contact CPA PC at (605) 775-2435.
